Year 2020 with Speak Your Mind
CAN MH Lanka joined the Speak Your Mind Campaign in February 2020. Nineteen countries, including Sri Lanka and three other new countries, met in Lake Naivasha, Kenya, in mid-February which was the start of our collective journey.
Since then, Speak Your Mind and CAN MH Lanka has been working closely in capacity building, knowledge sharing, and collective action on one collective purpose - progress for mental health in every nation.
The Return on Individual (ROI) Report, Country Profiles, Global March for Mental Health, Universal Health Coverage Report were some of the key outcomes from the year 2020.
Veteran actress Mrs Sangeetha Weerarathne, health economist professor Amala de Silva, and lived experience advocate Mrs Dilani Ranasinge participated in the global march. The WHO Sri Lanka provided technical support. Deputy Director General (Non-Communicable Diseases) of the Ministry of Health, Dr Champika Wickramasinghe, participated as a panellist of the Universal Health Coverage Report global launch event.
